BREAUX BRIDGE, LA. (KLFY) While some high school seniors quietly check their college acceptance emails alone to see if they were accepted, Brendon Gauthier opened his email in front of his entire school and family.
Last Thursday, Gauthier sat down at a computer at T.M. Landry College Prep, in Breaux Bridge, to see whether he had been accepted by early admission to Cornell University, the only college to which he applied.
With family, friends and classmates over his shoulder, Gauthier found out he had, in fact, been accepted and everyone started jumping up and down, screaming and crying.
KLFY posted the video and soon afterwards other main stream media organizations noticed including famed talk show host Wendy Williams.
On Wednesday’s show Williams talks with Gauthie about the video that has been seen all across the country.
