Ville Platte Police are asking the public’s help in finding a man wanted in connection with a fight and a stabbing that injured a man.

According to police Chief Neal Lartigue, Trever Travez Larnett is wanted for disturbing the peace by fighting and attempted second degree murder.

Lartigue said on January 4, officers responded to a report of an assault and found a man sitting on the ground with blood on his T-shirt.

Officers learned that the victim had been stabbed multiple times in a fight over a cell phone and money.

The victim was taken to one hospital and then airlifted to another with critical to severe injuries.
