Heath joined the KLFY weather team in May of 2007. Heath grew up in Boaz, which is a small town in North Alabama. That’s where Heath’s passion for weather began. Heath’s elementary school teachers couldn’t keep his attention, because he was always looking out the window, trying to see what was going on with the weather.
Heath attended Mississippi State University, where he received a degree in Geosciences with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology. After graduating from Mississippi State, Heath packed his bags and headed to Columbus, GA, for his first TV weather job.
After spending five years at WRBL in Columbus, Heath landed a job as a weekend meteorologist at WAFF in Huntsville, AL. Heath forecasted the weather in Huntsville for three years. Now he’s excited about forecasting weather for Acadiana and all of Southern Louisiana. Heath has a passion for keeping people safe during severe weather.
In his spare time, Heath enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, watching sports, especially college football, playing the guitar, reading, creative writing, storm chasing, and eating the great food that Acadiana has to offer.
