It’s been six years to the day since a Breaux Bridge mother vanished. The 32-year-old was last seen leaving the Lafayette women’s shelter, Faith House on February 8, 2013. Her family has not seen or heard from her since. The case remains under investigation by Lafayette police.

Over the years, there have been no leads in the investigation into Crystal Grebinger’s disappearance.

Today, on the sixth anniversary of Grebinger’s disappearance, her family still has hope they will find their loved one. Her father, Randy Dupuis tells News 10 he uses what little free time he has to hang posters in hopes of someone recognizing Crystal.

“February 8 marks six years and not only on this day, but throughout the year I try on my time off to post a lot of these flyers wherever I can, whenever I can,” says Dupuis. “Still no word on where she is but we are not gonna give up,” says Crystal’s godson, Tristan Dupuis.

Grebinger’s family has worked to raise awareness about long-term missing persons throughout the state of Louisiana. In 2016, governor John Bel Edwards declared June 8 “Missing Persons Day”. The proclamation specifically noted the disappearance of Grebinger.

“There are a lot of missing people here in the states. It’s a shame. My heart goes out to all of these other families. I’ve spoken to a lot of them before and we are all going through the same thing. It’s just a tough, tough road,” says Dupuis.

There are currently 304 missing people in the state of Louisiana. Grebinger’s family is planning on releasing balloons in her honor tomorrow.
