Hi, I’m Abigail. I’m a digital producer for KLFY, which means I write stories for klfy.com, help manage the social media pages, and send push notifications directly to your phones when breaking news happens.
I graduated from Louisiana College (recently renamed Louisiana Christian University) in Pineville in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Convergence Media: Journalism and a minor in English. I hope to one day pursue a master’s degree in English to continue improving as a writer. My dream is to write creative nonfiction and tell the stories of phenomenal people, places, and events.
I’ve always loved writing stories — nonfiction and fiction — and I’m glad to grow my craft here. My favorite stories to write have been feature or research-based, in-depth stories, but I enjoy breaking news too and keeping you informed on what’s happening.
Though I’m not originally from Acadiana (or Louisiana for that matter), I’ve been visiting Lafayette and involved in the community for the last four years and have fallen in love with it.
