Danielle Johnson

Danielle Johnson is a native of Abbeville, La., and earned her Mass Communications degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She joined KLFY News in June 2020.

Before becoming a part of the KLFY team as a multi-media journalist, Danielle worked as a production assistant for two years.

Her most memorable moments in television so far are working election night in November 2019 and interviewing Drew Brees.

She is an active member of the Broadcast Education Association and National Organization of Black Journalists. Before graduating, she received the NABJ 2020 Outstanding Member award at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In 2018, Danielle was a video production assistant with Festival International.   

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, creating fashion content, and volunteering for her church in the production department. 

Danielle loves motivating others and finding ways to put a smile on their faces. With her big personality and compassion for people, she hopes to use her role as a multi-media journalist to uplift and inspire the community.
