Under George’s guidance, KLFY News 10 Sports created the first High School Basketball Show in Louisiana. It’s called Full Court Press! His journalism career began long before his graduation from The University of Mississippi where he earned a Broadcast Journalism Degree, and a minor in Southern Studies. George has been in the “business” since he was senior at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, LA, thanks to an internship at WWL870AM and WWL-TV in New Orleans.During his career, he has served as both a sports anchor/reporter, and a news reporter/anchor.By far, the thrill of his career, so far, is being able to cover the 2009-2010 New Orleans Saints along the journey to the franchise’s first Super Bowl Championship. “Being in Miami for the Saints first Super Bowl win is a life-long dream for me,” remembers George. George’s chance to conduct a one-on-one interview with Golf Legend Jack Nicklaus ranks up there, also. Those are just a few of the highlights during his tenure in sports. As for news, George’s most intriguing news interview came when he spoke with James Meredith, the first black student at Ole Miss. But, perhaps the biggest story was the coverage of Hurricane Katrina. George won a Communicator Award for his work on the show, “Ole Miss Football” with David Cutcliffe, and has won numerous A.P. awards during his career. Once he takes off the mic, it’s off to the tee box, so don’t be surprised if you see him chasing those birdies on the golf course.George is a die-hard New Orleans Saints and Pelicans fan.  His favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs. When he’s not watching sports, he looks forward to spending time with his wife, Cassidy, and their 4 children Parker, Savannah, Harrison and Meredith!
