Hi! I’m Sylvia Masters. I’m a graduate of Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Journalism.
As the oldest of five, with no family experience in the TV industry, I gained my love for journalism when I accepted the opportunity to host a Saints show with former Saints players for my local TV station in Houma, Louisiana, HTV10. I worked there for two years before coming to KLFY News 10.
Among hosting two other shows and reporting for local events around my community, I enjoyed hosting my own show, “The Woman Factor with Sylvia Masters.” The show focused on educating, informing and discussing topics, issues and events that directly influence women of all ages.
