Trevor Sonnier was born and raised in Crowley Louisiana. He has loved weather all of his life and has always wanted to be a meteorologist on television. Trevor’s family has deep roots in Acadiana and tragically his great-grandfather was one of many victims who died in Cameron parish during Hurricane Audrey.
He believes this is why he was meant to save lives and keep people safe doing what he loves. He is happy to serve his home area of Acadiana.
Trevor got his Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Trevor has worked in both public and private sectors of weather. Prior to arriving at KLFY, Trevor was an on-air meteorologist in Alexandria and also did forecasting for the Oil & Gas industry.
In his spare time, Trevor loves to do anything outdoors–including fishing, hiking, or playing a round of golf.
