LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)– Authorities with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Department tell KLFY that two arrests have been made in the Homicides of Ashley Metz and Brouklynn Hill.

According to a news release Joshua Willis, 31, from Lafayette, and Joseph Sylvester, 21, of Lafayette were arrested earlier this morning in connection with the homicides.

Captain John Babin of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Department, both suspects have been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Joshua Willis is also facing an attempted sexual battery charge but Babin said the charge is not in relation to the deaths of Metz and Hill.

Both are accused of murdering Ashley Metz and Brouklynn Hill whose bodies were found in two separate burning vehicles early Tuesday morning.

Both Willis and Sylvester have been booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
