Carencro’s Evangeline Training Center will be closing their gates after 12 years in operation.
In a letter to trainers, Evangeline Enterprises says that due to new EPA standards coupled with the decline of the horse racing industry as reasons for the closure.
Evangeline Enterprises also cites the Evangeline Downs expansion of new barns.
They mention that all of these factors make keeping the center financially unfeasible.
