YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY)- A husband and wife have been arrested on several drug charges after their Madison Wood Drive home was raided during a drug investigation on Jan. 8.
Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux said the suspects were allegedly manufacturing illicit drugs in a guest bedroom, which agents called a clandestine lab.
Charles Bryant Kountz II, 44, was booked on the following charges:
- 1 count-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- 1 count-Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana
- 1 count-Illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under the age of seventeen years of age
- 1 count- Violation of uniform controlled dangerous substances in a drug free zone
- 1 count- Creation or operation of a clandestine lab within 1000 feet of school property
- 1 count-second subsequent offense
- 1 count-Possession of Hypodermic Needles
- 1 count unlawful production of Hallucinogenic plants
Kayla Goins Kountz, 38, was booked on the following charges:
- 1 count-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- 1 count-Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana
- 1 count-Illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under the age of seventeen years of age
- 1 count- Violation of uniform controlled dangerous substances in a drug free zone
