Two New Iberia schools work together to raise money for Hurricane Ida victims

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) Students and Faculty at Daspit Elementary and Johnston-Hopkins Schools in New Iberia and the Heart for Iberia raised $7300 to help victims of Hurricane Ida.

The money will go to the non-profit ‘Kid Energy’ in Houma.

The organization will use the funds to purchase clothing and personal hygiene items for families that are having to start over.
