Lafayette man accused of distributing child porn

A Lafayette man was arrested for allegedly distributing child pornography.

“Every time one of these images or videos is distributed, a child is tragically re-victimized,” said General Landry. “So my Cyber Crime Unit and I are doing all we legally can to bring child predators to justice.” 
 

Joshua Brister, 21, was arrested on one count of Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles (under 13 years of age). He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Prison following a joint investigation by the LBI Cyber Crime Unit, HSI, the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Lafayette Police Department.

Attorney General Jeff Landry said, “Every time one of these images or videos is distributed, a child is tragically re-victimized.,” Landry added, “So my Cyber Crime Unit and I are doing all we legally can to bring child predators to justice.” 

Also arrested was David Duplechain, 51 of Covington. He was arrested on eight counts of Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles (under 13 years of age). He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail following a joint investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
