EUNICE, La. (KLFY)– Police have arrested the last two suspects in a case where a group allegedly took turns beating a homeowner.
Sheriff Bobby Guidroz tells News 10, “The final two suspects wanted for the home invasion in Eunice were arrested but the investigation may lead to additional arrest.”
A group of alleged members of a gang called “Goons for Life” was accused of breaking into a Eunice home and taking turns beating the owner on July 5.
According to a news release, yesterday on July 14, Deomaante Frank turned himself into the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office and the last suspect Eric Williams was caught by probation and parole officers.
Williams was also wanted by the state probation office on a separate case, his warrants were recalled by detectives working the home invasion and was classified as a person of interest. According to arrest records, he must serve 30 days for a probation violation.
Detectives tell KLFY they have now arrested a total of six self-proclaimed “Goons for Life” members.
Deomaante Frank, 17, had a bond set at $700,000, he was charged with the following.
- Aggravated second-degree battery
- Two counts/armed robbery
- Four counts/ attempted second-degree murder
- Attempted first-degree feticide
Eric Williams, 20, was arrested and charged with probation violation and must serve 30 days.
