Keion Bonner is currently hospitalized in stable condition.

The shooting happened in the 400 block of Hilda Street around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Police sources said officers responded to a call about three men involved in criminal activity.

The police sources said the men had guns and at some point during their interaction the officer fired and shot Bonner.

The two men with Bonner were arrested.

Tyrese Carter was charged with drug possession and drug dealing, illegal carrying of a weapon, and prohibited acts.

He was released Wednesday night on a $9,000 bond. He is scheduled to be in district court on Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
