CARENCRO, La. (KLFY)- One of two suspects believed to be involved in and armed robbery and shooting is sought by the Carencro Police Department.
On September 29, 2018, shortly after 7 .pm., Carencro Police Department responded to the area of Raceway and Rainbow streets in reference to shots being fired in the area.
Upon further investigation, it was found that 20-year-old Kendrick Kelly, of Duson, and Cleveland Jones, 20, of Carencro allegedly robbed the victim at gun point, police said.
As the victim was fleeing from the scene in a vehicle, Kelly and Jones began firing at the vehicle, striking the vehicle once.
On October 22, 2018, Kendrick Kelly was arrested by the Lafayette Marshall’s Office on the outstanding warrant. He’s been charged with armed robbery, attempted first degree murder and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
Jones remains at large.
