A Rayne man faces charges after police say he fired numerous shots into a home over the weekend. 

Twenty-year-old Deante Dshawn Carrier faces 6 counts of attempted second degree murder after police say he allegedly fired multiple shots into a home on North Arenas Street Saturday afternoon. 

After interviewing witnesses, police were able to detain Carrier.

He was booked into the Acadia Parish jail with a bond set at $75,000.

An investigation is on-going.
