New Iberia police and Lafayette City Police SWAT team captured a man wanted for a shooting in Delcambre.
Police executed a search warrant in New Iberia and arrested Shawn Dugan. Dugan was wanted for Attempted First Degree Murder, Armed Robbery and other charges. Police say he was involved in the May shooting at the Wizard Car Wash in Delcambre.
Officers found a man who with multiple gunshot wounds at that shooting. Surveillance video was used to identify the suspects. Officers believed the incident was the result of a drug deal gone bad.
Dugan is in the sixth suspect to be arrested in connection with this crime.
