LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – There was a special dedication Monday night during halftime of the Lafayette Parish Middle School Football Championship.
The Milton football team and the Milton moms presented Claudette Baudoin with her son Garrett’s football jersey.
Garrett died of a brain tumor in August at the age of 26. He played on Milton’s very first football team in 2005.
The Milton Yellow Jackets dedicated their season to his memory.
Claudette Baudoin told News 10 she appreciates the special family that Milton has always been for her family.
Garrett went on to play football at Comeaux High School. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and became an engineer.
