RAYNE, La. (KLFY)- Rayne Police officers arrested 34-year-old Forrest Charles for his involvement in the Mardi Gras night shooting on Bailey Street in Rayne.
Forrest was charged with attempted second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Police have also charged another suspect, Darrell Dugas, 36, for possession of a firearm by a felon. Dugas was shot during the Mardi Gras day incident.
Due to his injuries, Dugas has not been booked in the Acadia Parish Jail, police said.
Chief Carrol Stelly said both suspects are known by area law enforcement.
Forrest was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail with a $550,000.00 bond.
