UPDATE:  An armed standoff has ended peacefully with 2 suspects taken into custody, Eunice Police say. 

Earlier Monday, an armed man barricaded himself inside a home on Alexander and Eighth streets, Eunice Police Randy Fontenot said.

He has been identified as 30-year-old Steven Savoy II. He is believed to be armed with two handguns.

Fontenot said he is wanted on arrest warrants on charges including assault of an officer.

Authorities have been attempting to negotiate with him since about 4 p.m.
