‘Young Hub City,’ is a group of teens from New Iberia spreading positivity through music

Young Hub City is a group of two young adults from New Iberia that makes positive, fun and clean music for the community to enjoy.

“When it came down to dancing, having fun..there was no clean positive music. So, that’s when we stepped in and that’s why we have Young Hub City today,” said J-rock, an artist in the group.

J-rok and Beezy are the two young artists that began the group three years ago with the help of their co-manager and godfather, Johann (Yogi) Joseph, D.J. Sal and Cupid.

“Anybody that listens to the current music in general, as a parent, you’re like oh that was nice but you kind of caught me off guard with what you’re saying,” said ‘Yogi.’

The purpose of the group is to help find positive outlets for people to escape to. “They are the Younger version of what Hub City is. Anybody’s heard of Cupid, he’s the exact same way,” said Yogi. “He said a long time ago, I’m not going to make any song I can’t play in front, my grandmother,” he added.

Through their music, Young Hub City travels all over the country to use their platform and spread this message through the youth.

Their latest album is titled, “Graduated.” Their latest-hot- single is, “Who Gone Be My Santa,” which is a fresh Christmas twist to popular holiday songs.

“It’s basically, everybody has things they want to get, that ya know pockets might not be steep enough for that,” said J-rok. “We wanted to remodel the music from Silent Night and all the old Christmas songs,” said his sister, and co-artist, Beezy.

Young Hub City also has a fitness brand that they plan to utilize and promote wellness and healthy living through their music.
