A Sunday morning traffic stop lead to deputies finding a large amount of methamphetamine in Lincoln Parish.
According to the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department, deputies stopped a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-20 near Simsboro for speeding 84/70.
Upon making contact with the driver, deputies could detect the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Canine “Yoeri” alerted to the vehicle and a search turned up 123 grams of high-grade marijuana, 1 pound of methamphetamine, and a stolen Glock 9mm handgun.
The driver, Sebastian Sanders was placed under arrest for numerous traffic, weapon, and drug-related charges.

A passenger, Davin Wilkerson, was also arrested and faces multiple drug charges.

Both Sanders and Wilkerson are currently being held in the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
