The Franklin Police Department responded to 29 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
2/28/15 @ 11:38 PM, Colby Spain, 31, of Robertson St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with No Driver’s License and Open Container. Spain was processed and released on a $320.00 bond.
3/1/2015 @ 12:43 AM, Tyrone Freeman, 46, of Hwy 87, Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Resisting an Officer by Flight. Freeman was also arrested on warrants charging him with Resisting an Officer by Flight (2 Counts) and Criminal Trespassing. Freeman was processed and held on a $3500.00 bond.
3/1/2015 @ 3:10 PM, Jeremy Randle, 27, of Second St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Simple Battery. Randle was processed and held on a $500.00 bond.
3/1/2015 @ 6:59 PM, Stephanie Hall, 25, of Fifth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery (2nd Offense). Hall was processed and held with no bond set at time of press release.

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 121 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Kaylesia Dominique, 38, 1036 Cayce St, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 27, 2015 at 11:29am for a warrant on charges of issuing worthless checks. Dominique presented herself to the Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. A deputy assigned to the warrants division arrested Dominique and released her on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.
John Tardy, 50, 156 George Town Ln, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 27, 2015 at 10:51pm for the following charges:
– Flight from an officer
– Possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles
– Criminal trespass
– Driving under suspension
– Simple obstruction of a highway of commerce
– Warrant for failure to appear on charges of speeding and driving under suspension
– Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of leased movables (less than $1,000)
– Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks
A deputy assigned to the Franklin area attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Tardy. Tardy did not stop and continued to travel on Highway 90 West in the Jeanerette area. The deputy pursued Tardy as he exited onto Highway 668 and then turned onto Frontage Rd, heading east. Tardy slowed his vehicle to a stop in the opposite lane of travel, exited the vehicle and then fled the area on foot. Tardy ran through a home’s yard and jumped over multiple fences. He was later found hiding in a nearby cemetery by deputies. Tardy was arrested and transported to the parish jail. Bail is set at $11,300.
Samuel Franco-Guevaro, 27, 443 Grout St, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 27, 2015 at 11:07pm for driving while intoxicated, no driver’s license and improper lane usage. A deputy patrolling the area of Patterson observed a vehicle driven by Franco to swerve into the opposite lane of travel and nearly hit another vehicle. The deputy stopped the vehicle, made contact with Franco and detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath and person. During the course of the traffic stop, Franco was observed to stagger and use his vehicle for balance. The driver ultimately refused to submit to a chemical test for intoxication. Franco was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
Anthony Jackson, 22, 2318 Cypress St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February
28, 2015 at 8:28am for failure to appear on the charge of unauthorized use of an access card. Jackson turned himself in to the parish jail and was arrested. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.
Heather Lacoste, 31, 272 Canal St, Heflin LA, was arrested on February 28, 2015 at 10:57pm for driving while intoxicated, careless operation and no driver’s license. A deputy working in the Patterson area observed a vehicle to swerve in and out of lanes of travel on Highway 90. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Lacoste, and detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from her person. During the course of the investigation, Lacoste submitted to a chemical test for intoxication and provided a breath sample of .161g% blood alcohol concentration. Lacoste was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
David Dugas, 50, 901 A E Sellers Rd, Rayne LA, was arrested on March 1, 2015 at 10:40am for criminal trespass. A deputy working a specialized detail on the levee system found Dugas in a vehicle on the unprotected side of the levee. Dugas was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on June 17, 2015.
Jasmane Gabriel, 22, 314 Sorrell Rd, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on March 1, 2015 at 10:40pm for issuing worthless checks. A deputy arrested Gabriel and released him on a summons to appear in court on June 17, 2015.
