According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Myles Morgan, 27, 1004 Front St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February 24, 2015 at 6:24am for a warrant on charges of attempted unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, disturbing the peace and resisting an officer. Morgan presented himself to the parish jail in Centerville and was arrested. No bail is set.
Juvenile male, 13, Centerville LA, was arrested on February 24, 2015 at 8:01am for simple battery. A school resource officer responded to complaint of a disturbance occurring on a school bus. During the course of the investigation, the school resource officer learned that the juvenile male punched another student in the face. The juvenile was arrested and released to a parent pending juvenile court proceedings.
Juvenile male 14, Franklin LA, and Juvenile male 15, Bayou Vista LA, were arrested on February 24, 2015 at 10:19am on the charge of simple battery. A school resource officer responded to a fight in progress in a classroom at the St Mary Parish Alternative School. The juveniles were separated and were arrested. They were later released to parents pending juvenile court proceedings.
Juvenile male, 11, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 24 at 2:41pm on the charge of aggravated assault. A deputy assigned to duties at the Alternative school responded to a disturbance in the cafeteria. The deputy learned that the 11-year-old juvenile had in his possession a broken piece of glass and threatened to cut another student. The juvenile was arrested and released to a parent pending juvenile court proceedings.
Joey Francois, 34, 229 Robin St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February 24, 2015 at 4:14pm for a warrant on the charge of possession of marijuana and for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of angling without a license. Francois was transferred from the Assumption parish jail to St Mary. No bail is set.
Latin Boutte, 22, 4301 Loreauville Rd, New Iberia LA, was arrested on February 24, 2015 at 5:20pm for a warrant on the charge of principal to simple burglary. Boutte was transferred from the Iberville Parish jail to St. Mary.
The warrant stems from an investigation initiated in December of 2014. Investigators learned that Boutte and another individual broke into a truck stationed on the Charenton Levee by Lake Fausse Point. Items stolen from the truck include a 9mm pistol and two apple Ipods. No bail is set.
Mark Buteaux, 47, 128 Shady Grove, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 24, 2015 at 8:14pm for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area located Buteaux at a residence on Leroy’s Ln. He was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.
Jose Quintanilla, 17, 715 Arlington St, Bayou Visa LA was arrested on February 25, 2015 at 9:32pm for possession of marijuana and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance law as it applies to drug free zones. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area conducted a stop with occupants of a truck stationed at the Bayou Vista skate park. The deputy made contact with the occupants of the truck and found Quintanilla to be in possession of marijuana. Quintanilla was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.
Cade Hatch, 17, 713 Prairie Rd, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 25, 2015 at 9:32pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area conducted a stop with occupants of a truck stationed at the Bayou Vista Skate Park. The deputy made contact with the occupants of the truck and found Hatch to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Hatch was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Joseph Quebedeaux, 35, 213 Walnut St, Arnaudville LA, was arrested on February 24, 2015 at 10:38am on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives with the St Mary Parish Narcotics Division were called out to assist patrol deputies with a single vehicle crash. The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Highway 90 near Amelia. During a search of the vehicle driven by Quebedeaux, detectives located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Quebedeaux was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.
