Report: Cowboys Sign La’el Collins

Multiple reports say the Dallas Cowboys and offensive lineman La’el Collins of LSU have agreed to terms.

Both ESPN and NFL Network are reporting Dallas is signing the rookie free agent.

It is reportedly a 3-year deal in the range of $1.65-1.7 million, and is fully guaranteed.

Police late Wednesday announced a paternity test confirmed Collins is not the father of a slain Baton Rouge woman’s son.

Collins was an All-Southeastern Conference performer and top pro prospect, but was not selected in last week’s NFL draft after police acknowledged they wanted to interview Collins about his prior relationship with 29-year-old Brittney Mills.

Mills was pregnant when gunned down at her home in late April. Her son, born alive, died days later.

Collins has never been named a suspect in the case
