Two people, including a 5-year-old, are injured and are expected to recover after an 18-wheeler crashed into a house and bursts into flame.
Lt. Clay Higgins tells KLFY that it happened on US 190 near Port Barre, after a tire on the semi-truck blew out.
The truck then crossed over the median, went through a fence, and crashed into a nearby house before bursting into flames.
The truck was not carrying hazardous material but it was carrying fuel, according to Lt. Higgins.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputies, local firefighters, and paramedics are on scene.
