UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Keg Shooting
Lafayette, LA – Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department were able to identify the suspect in Saturday’s early morning shooting at the Keg as Christian Blair Antoine (22) of New Iberia. Antoine was arrested in New Iberia today on an arrest warrant for Aggravated Second Degree Battery. He has been booked into the Iberia Parish Correctional Center and will later be transferred to Lafayette Parish. Lafayette, LA – On January 31, 2015, at approximately 1:00 am, Lafayette Police responded to the Keg at 115 McKinley Street regarding a shooting. When officers arrived there were numerous people in the street. The victim was located in the 400 block of East University Avenue. According to the victim, he was inside of the Keg when he and the suspect began to argue. The suspect produced a pistol and shot the victim one time in the left leg then fled the club.
The victim, a 20 year old male, was transported to an area hospital and treated for his injury. The suspect is described as a black male, 6 foot tall and weighing approximately 300 pounds.
