UPDATE (9/10/2015): Malik Broussard has been arrested, according to Rachael Trahan of the Crowley Police Department. Broussard was wanted on the charge of Second Degree Murder for the September 2014 death of a 7-week-old infant.


ORIGINAL (9/9/2015): Crowley Police are looking for a man who was allegedly involved in the September 2014 death of a 7-week-old infant.

Police Chief K.P. Gibson says officers have a warrant to arrest Malik Broussard, 19, on the charge of Second Degree Murder.

Broussard and the infant’s mother, Kendra Campbell, were indicted for Second Degree Murder by a grand jury on September 2, 2015.

Gibson says Campbell was arrested on September 8, 2015 and was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail. The infant’s death was ruled a homicide after Crowley Police received the autopsy report in late 2014.

Broussard is described as a “5’11” in height, weighing 150 pounds, with short black hair.” Chief Gibson says his last known address is in the 300 block of West 11th Street.
