Nicholas continues to weaken and dissipate as the system is now a tropical depression. The widespread flash flooding threat for Acadiana is over as much of the heavier rains with Nicholas are far enough east.

As the remnant low of Nicholas swirls over the western part of the state, expect a good chance of showers for the next two days. Rainfall could be heavy at times, but the flash flooding threat should be isolated. We will see a good chance of showers through the weekend. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
